DONATE TO SUPPORT OUR CHARITABLE WORK

We are committed to pushing the envelope for sustainable and compassionate living, providing vocational training and well-paid green jobs for Himalayan villagers, and making life-transforming education available to all, either free of charge or at very reasonable cost.

Believe in our vision? Help us make it happen.

Dharmalaya Society is a volunteer-driven organisation relying on gifts from our supporters to serve and to grow. While we are committed to a model of financial self-sustainability for our day-to-day activities, the demand for our programmes continually outpaces our modest revenue and we rely on gifts, grants, and material contributions from caring people like you to build capacity and expand the reach of our programmes for greater benefit while keeping the costs of our educational programmes within reach of the common person. Contributions are tax-deductible in India to the extent allowed by law.

+ What are our current needs?

Recovery from the setbacks of the COVID period

Our greatest present need is to help us recover from the financial setbacks of the covid period (during which we continued to support all of our local village staff while lacking the programme revenue to offset those costs).

You can support this endeavour with one-time or recurring (monthly or annual) donations, philantrhopic gifts, and CSR.

Ongoing Operational Needs:

Ongoing financial needs for basica operations include:

INR 10,000 to sponsor a green job for one of our local village staff members for one month (or a donation of Rs 80,000 to support all of them for one month).

INR 23,500 to sponsor room and board for a student from a low-income background to be able to participate in our residential programmes free of cost for one month.

INR 1000 per month to support one of our adopted mountain dogs with healthy food and veterinary care.

One-time Infrastructural Needs:

Our main infrastructural needs are:

INR 2,50,000 for solar water heating systems for our student accommodations.

INR 3,80,000 for the completion of our garden cottage, which will enable us to accommodate two additional long-term team members while also providing a nursery for garden plants and tree saplings.

INR 6,00,000 for renewable energy systems (solar photovoltaic with battery backup) for the Institute.

Material donations of solar photovoltaic systems, solar water heating systems, solar pumps, and water purification systems are most welcome.

Donation of an electric utility vehicle (EV) for transporting goods and passengers would help us redirect a substantial amount of funds from these expenses toward more beneficial programmatic needs.

+ Is this donation tax deductible?
