The work retreat is preceded by a silent meditation retreat. We find this deeply beneficial for tuning us in to new ways of working. The meditation retreat helps us to slow down and connect before engaging with the work. There are so many ways the two parts of the retreat support each other.

Description
A two-part exploration of meditation and inner and outer sustainability: First, a one-week, (mostly) silent meditation retreat in the Insight Meditation tradition (18-26 March), followed by an optional ten-day service retreat providing opportunities to put meditation into action through work on earthen building, organic gardening, and permaculture landscaping, while also continuing formal meditation practice in the mornings and evenings (27 March - 6 April). Led by Zohar Lavie and Nathan Glyde of SanghaSeva, with Mark Moore and other members of Dharmalaya’s faculty and artisan team facilitating the service work.
