BIR, HIMACHAL PRADESH - Dharmalaya is happy to report that its team of village labourers has completed the digging of foundation trenches and laid the foundation stone for the first building of the Dharmalaya Institute.
A traditional foundation stone ceremony was held, led by a village pujari, after which three monks performed the havan ritual of offering incense and herbs to the fire. About fifteen local villagers were in attendance, joined by international guests from Nepal, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK and the US.
The next step will be to fill the foundations with stone masonry, after which construction above ground can begin.
